23 Oct 08 ~ Stupid lecturer

It was my last lesson @ the school (Though i din nOe at the point of time).. More or less decided after we haf the talk with the management & sales person yesterday.. Anyway, my class was on every Thursday, from 7pm to 10pm.

Alot of frens have been asking me what is wrong with the school... There are a few things but the thing tat frustrates ME most is the HR lecturer.. (Though for Andrine, it's more on the issue of the extra money she need to pay, as compared to my fees..)

This lecturer, he is a DR something.. From the 1st lesson onwards, I have not liked him since. Why? Because:

1) He is very very very naggy.. One point/example he can keep repeating 3 - 4 times per lesson~

2) He loves to boast of his "glamorous" past. Reali!! He fav catchphrase? "I am not the HR Manager, but all the HODS & even the HR Manager REPORTS to ME". Impressive the 1st time i heard (& found it funny at that time) but it is oh-so-not-funny the 2nd, 3rd, 4th....101th time i hear it!!~~

3) He keep emphasizing that he used to be a VP of some BIG, offshore, foreign bank ("..I cant tell you the name of my company cos it's sensitive..blah blah blah..juz nOe tat it's like prestigious..")

4) Half-way thru the class, he will ask us to go for the break but he NEVER ever tell us what time we are expected to come back so some students juz take their own sweet time & wasted the time of those who came back, say, 15minutes later. & this Dr W will juz nua ard till the class is filled before continuing.

5) When he realised that he is unable to finish teaching what is required for that lesson (due to the loong break he gave to us), he will speed thru the rest of the slides and before you nOe it, it's time (according to his time obviously) to go home. Our lesson is supposed to start @ 7pm and end @ 10pm. DR W always starts the class @ 730pm (wait for latecomers), give us a break @ 830pm & lesson will resume @ 9pm (wait for latecomers). At 930-940pm, DR W will always tell us: "I think I will stop here, to give you all more time to absorb my teachings". So all in all, the lesson is juz 1.5hrs long. And the worst thing is tat he always start off the lesson very slowly, repeating what he said in the last few lessons (read point 2 & 3), irrelevant & repeated examples and when he realised he dun haf time to finish the lesson, he will juz skip or read off from the powerpoint slides. -_-"

6) He never ask any question, to check if we really understand what he is talking about & when we asked him questions, he replied us with more questions or some things juz to shake us off~

7) He always insults Chinese PRC (we have like 3 students from China in the class), using demeaning/degrading terms and then try to act as if he is juz making a jOke.

8) The worst thing was when we tried to ask him for his email address after class one day. Our purpose is so that if we faced any problems or got questions abt the lesson, it will be easier for us to email him rite? Well, DR W seems to think that we have some funny ideas (PPPPPLLssss... like who would be interested in an old man like him??) & he keep asking us "WHY? WHY U WAN MY EMAIL ADDRESS???" i am like -_-" loh... kaOz

These are juz some of the examples of what he did tat pissed me off.. Anyway.. I was like more or less confirmed not going to continue studying here liao.. so was feeling bored & sleepy @ the class. And true to form, he told us to go for break @ 830pm & I went back to the class only @ 915pm (nOt purposely lar..cos we went to eat dinner @ a nearby coffee shop & when we are ready to go back, it was raining cats & dogs~~~)

Anyway, after the class, Melvin (the shuai shuai salesperson) walked with us to the MRT & spent like 1hr plus trying to convince us to continue our studies). After i reached home, the other sales person (Raymond) called me & continue persuading us to continue... But our minds are made up...

Slept @ 1am after hanging up..
